Many of the callers to Radio Ergo’s audience feedback platform in the week 12-18 September 2024 were concerned by drought conditions and lack of water and food. These calls came from different regions of the country. At the same time other callers across various regions noted the arrival of rainfall. Some callers near the Shabelle river expressed concerns over repetitive flooding, although they weren’t currently getting rainfall. Various callers complained about deforestation and waste dumping causing environmental problems. Among calls to the radio’s livestock programme, complaints about goat diseases were prevalent.
