Most callers to Radio Ergo’s audience feedback platform this week (15-21 January 2026) were extremely concerned and distressed about the impact of the ongoing drought across the country. The majority of calls came from southern regions and central regions. People said they were short of food and water and many asked for assistance. Some described dead and dying livestock. Callers in Hirshabelle noted that the river level was low. Others talked about very hot temperatures. Three callers, however, in Hiran and Middle Juba said their areas had received a little rainfall.
