(ERGO) – The calls to Radio Ergo’s nationwide audience feedback platform in the week 3-9 October 2024 included people complaining about drought and water scarcity in various regions, alongside others reporting rainfall. The callers indicating that they were in crisis or asking for assistance due to drought were from parts of Togdher and Galgadud regions. Various callers in Hirshabelle, Bay, and Gedo regions mentioned concerns over delayed rainfall and very hot weather but indicated that they were currently coping. Several callers asked for more regular information on weather forecasts. Lack of jobs and income remained a theme among callers in southern regions. Several callers in Puntland and Galgadud were concerned by locusts destroying the vegetation.
