(ERGO) – Calls to Radio Ergo’s feedback platform this week (27 July to 3 August 2023) presented an ongoing mixed picture in terms of reporting either rainfall or drought in different parts of the country. The majority of calls spoke of rainfall, whilst an increased number compared to last week complained of drought and water shortage in central and southern areas. Some farmers in southern areas said their crops were doing well, while others in parts of Hirshabelle complained of still being affected by river flooding. There were several callers from Sanag and Nugal asking for help to control locusts attacking their vegetation and crops.
