This batch of calls (19 January – 1 February 2023) to Radio Ergo’s audience feedback platform was mainly harvested from central and southern regions. (We assume the lack of Somaliland calls was due to technical challenges with Telesom lines to the platform during this period). A significant number of callers from Galmudug, Bay, Middle Shabelle, and Gedo regions were preoccupied by the impact of worsening drought, with water shortage and livestock deaths reported. There was an increase in the number of calls from people identifying as IDPs in camps complaining of lack of aid and basic service, especially from Galgadud and Gedo.
