Among calls this week (6-12 November 2025) to Radio Ergo’s nationwide independent feedback platform, the prolonged drought affecting many parts of the country was the most common theme. The number of calls about drought and its impact was double that of the calls about rainfall. A few callers in Nugal, Galgadud, and Gedo regions spoke of livestock dying in the drought. Some pastoralists calling for veterinary advice indicated that their livestock were hit by drought as well as disease. Many farmers from central and southern regions contacted the platform seeking advice from the radio agricultural experts about problems affecting their crops. Health, including mental health and nutrition, also featured among the calls this week.
