The calls to Radio Ergo’s audience feedback platform this week (25 September to 1 October 2025) included messages from listeners in northern, central and some southern locations telling us about recent rainfall in their areas. Some said the rain was substantial and filled up water catchments, while others said it was little though they awaited more. At the same time, however, the number of calls from listeners citing drought and challenges with water and food security predominated, similarly to previous weeks. This week, the calls about drought stood out as mainly coming from Jubbaland, Hirshabelle, and Galmudug. A few callers in Middle Shabelle complained that their farms were still flooded from breakages in the river banks.
