Several callers in mainly central locations shared their concerns through Radio Ergo’s audience feedback platform this week (28 March – 3 April 2024) about cases of AWD/cholera in their areas. [Note that this report reflects what the callers said, and not any official disease verifications]. Many other callers, especially across northern and central regions, were worried about prolonged drought with some complaining of severe water shortage. On the other hand, a number of callers across scattered areas reported the arrival of seasonal rainfall improving conditions for people and livestock. Livestock owners largely in central regions also called for veterinary advice and treatment regarding various animal diseases affecting their goats in particular.
