Calls to Radio Ergo’s audience feedback platform this week (5-11 January 2023) highlighted the distress faced by many communities as drought persists and intensifies across the country. There were significant numbers of such calls from central and southern regions. Most callers spoke about lack of water, food, inability to sell livestock, rising prices, and the need to assistance from government or aid agencies.
