This week (13-20 April 2023), a number of callers in the Shabelle and Juba river areas in the southern regions called Radio Ergo’s feedback platform to report damage and displacement by floods and the need for assistance. Whilst many other callers across the country reported rainfall and its positive impact on livestock and farms, a significant number of others mentioned continuing drought, water and food shortage, and high food prices. There were several calls about the lack of basic health facilities in some areas, and about the lack of aid where it is needed.
