Locusts attacking farms and grazing land across the country were once again the subject of the biggest number of calls to Radio Ergo’s independent feedback platform this week (14-20 January 2021).  There were more calls in this period about water shortages, as well as concerns about the survival of livestock due to drought-like conditions caused by the voracious locusts and the lack of water. Callers also complained about the demise of the shilling in some parts. There continued to be calls to the Radio Doctor about COVID19.

The feedback platform is open for listeners to call in on the topic of their choice. We listen to and transcribe the messages received and compile weekly reports, as a way of sharing these local voices among a wider community, including national and international decision-makers and responders.
