Most calls by far on Radio Ergo’s independent platform this week (6-11 October 2020) were about the plagues of desert locusts affecting most northern regions, with new invasions reported in Galgadud, Hiran, M. Shabelle and elsewhere. Callers remained concerned by Coronavirus with questions about symptoms and diagnosis mainly from Puntland and southern regions. There were also calls about water scarcity and rising food prices in various parts of the country.
The feedback platform is open for listeners to call in on the topic of their choice. We listen to and transcribe the messages received and compile weekly reports, as a way of sharing these local voices among a wider community, including national and international decision-makers and responders.
