The main concerns raised by callers this week (14-19 September 2020) were the locust invasions mainly across the northern regions; water shortages; effects of river floods; livestock diseases; and Coronavirus. The spread of issues was similar to the calls received in the previous two weeks, although the numbers complaining about water scarcity were higher.
The feedback platform is open for listeners to call in on the topic of their choice. We listen to and transcribe the messages received and compile weekly reports, as a way of sharing these local voices among a wider community, including national and international decision-makers and responders.
