Among the calls this week (23-29 May 2024) to Radio Ergo’s audience feedback platform, a number of listeners mainly in Hirshabelle spoke of the effects of river floods in their areas and their needs for assistance. Several callers were concerned about health issues, especially malaria and diarrhoea. A few callers in parts of Somaliland and one in Middle Shabelle reported locust invasions affecting farms. The majority of callers reported rainfall in different parts of the country with beneficial effects, although several callers in parts of Sanag and Bari spoke of continued drought and water shortage.
