This week’s calls (29 February-6 March 2024) to Radio Ergo’s audience feedback platform showed similar patterns to the previous week, with drought reported especially in northern regions, and some callers in Puntland and Galgadud recording the arrival of rain. Many reported increasingly hot weather and hoped for rain before or during the approaching Ramadan period. Challenges faced some communities recovering from floods in Hirshabelle, while people in Bardera, Gedo, complained of key infrastructure yet to be repaired. Food security remained an underlying theme. Many livestock owners called wanting advice and veterinary treatment for diseases affecting their herds.
