Calls to Radio Ergo’s independent feedback platform this week (8-14 June 2023) reflected both the fears of communities along the river Shabelle of possible further flooding, as well as announcements of rainfall in many areas of the country bringing benefits to farmers and pastoralists. Callers in a few places indicated no or inadequate rainfall. There were several calls from people struggling to earn a living with rising prices and no jobs. Livestock herders in southern regions continued to complain about disease killing their camels and asked for veterinary treatment.
