Call to Radio Ergo’s independent feedback platform in the last week of May (25-31 May 2023) reflected varying concerns such as devastating flooding in southern Shabelle and Juba riverine areas and the need for preventive measures, and the onset of beneficial rains in different areas where callers said they were now recovering from drought. Some callers noted the threat of mosquito-borne diseases. There were a number of calls from herders in southern regions about livestock disease killing camels. Farmers in different areas mentioned the rise in pests notably aphids.
