(Ergo) – Callers this week (9-16 March 2023) to Radio Ergo’s independent feedback platform were concerned largely about worsening drought conditions. There was a significant proportion of calls from central and southern regions, with callers speaking about dying livestock and water and food shortages. Callers in Shabelle riverine areas spoke of the river drying up. In the north, displacement resulting from the Lasanod conflict continued to cause concerns. Most callers complaining about drought said they needed aid from humanitarian organisations and/or government.
