(ERGO) – A large number of callers to Radio Ergo’s platform this week (22-28 April 2021) celebrated the arrival of rainfall with relief, following the prolonged dry period in many parts of the country. However, callers in some places reported new waves of locusts arriving with the rain. Others indicated shelter needs. At the same time, callers in many areas complained of continuing drought conditions and water scarcity. There was also a rise in livestock herders reporting animal diseases. COVID19 remained a concern among callers.
