The majority of calls to Radio Ergo’s feedback platform this week (7-13 January 2021) was about the locust invasions across the country. There were more locust callers this week from southern regions than in previous weeks. Other concerns expressed by callers were the rise in water shortages in some areas, and the hardships caused by the fall of the Somali shilling, especially in Puntland.
The feedback platform is open for listeners to call in on the topic of their choice. We listen to and transcribe the messages received and compile weekly reports, as a way of sharing these local voices among a wider community, including national and international decision-makers and responders.
