The Radio Ergo independent voice feedback platform this week (19-24 September 2020) drew calls from different parts of the country on locusts and their impact on food security, water scarcity, COVID19, and other topics. There was a proportional increase in female callers, perhaps responding to our radio announcement encouraging women to use the service. Many calls, as usual, were in response to certain Ergo programme segments, such as the livestock and farming programmes, among other.
The feedback platform is open for listeners to call in on the topic of their choice. We listen to and transcribe the messages received and compile weekly reports, as a way of sharing these local voices among a wider community, including national and international decision-makers and responders.
