The calls received from Radio Ergo listeners across the country between 1-6 June 2020 show the main overall concerns to be the destruction being wreaked by locusts, especially across the north and central regions; the rise in COVID19 cases with the impact on livelihoods across all regions; and the damage caused by floods in riverine areas, alongside emerging water shortages in other areas.
The feedback platform is open for listeners to call in on the topic of their choice. We listen to and transcribe the messages received and compile weekly reports, as a way of sharing these local voices among a wider community, including national and international decision-makers and responders.
