The intensifying impact of drought on communities, their livestock, and farms, dominated the calls to Radio Ergo’s audience feedback platform this week (20-26 November 2025). The most prominent regions where such calls came from included Sanag, Galgadud, Hiran, Middle and Lower Shabelle, Gedo, and Bay. Many callers spoke of livestock dying both of drought and disease. One caller in Burao, Togdher, said three children in his family had died due to the harsh conditions. A caller in Adado, Galgadud, said they were facing famine. Many appealed for water and other forms of aid or assistance from humanitarian organisations and government.
