(ERGO) – Callers to Radio Ergo’s feedback platform this week (11-17 January 2024) in southern riverine regions shared their experiences of flood recovery and their outstanding needs especially in farming areas. Other callers were concerned about disease outbreaks in various regions, most notably diarrhoea and malaria. Callers in a few areas described swarms of locusts destroying grazing and crops and wanted control assistance. Livestock callers this week asked for advice and treatment for their sick livestock in northern, central, and Lower Juba regions. Meanwhile many callers especially in Puntland and central regions noted the arrival of beneficial rainfall helping their recovery. A few spoke of dry conditions.
