(ERGO) – The most common concern among callers to Radio Ergo’s independent platform this week (16-22 December 2020) was the devastating locust invasions across many parts of the country, as has been the case since August. This week there was a significant increase in calls from locust-hit communities in Hiran region. Other concerns from callers were water shortages in certain areas; price rises in northern and central regions; and Coronavirus, with some callers citing widespread flu-like symptoms.
The feedback platform is open for listeners to call in on the topic of their choice. We listen to and transcribe the messages received and compile weekly reports, as a way of sharing these local voices among a wider community, including national and international decision-makers and responders.
